The Mount Snow valley has no shortage of options for live music. Countless bars and taverns along Route 100 routinely book rock, acoustic, jazz and blues bands to keep us entertained as we enjoy our nights out. But for those of us seeking more traditional classical music (sometimes called chamber music), the choices have been lacking. Until now.
For a few weeks every year, some of the world's most respected and practiced classical musicians converge upon Marlboro College for the annual Marlboro Music Festival. Dozens of musicians feed off of each other's diverse energies and backgrounds to form completely unique ensembles and perform for audiences. You could say the stars align in southern Vermont once every summer, and the result is music bliss.
And it's all just 20 minutes away from our community of homes in Wilmington, Vermont. We highly recommend you check out this festival, and of course if you're looking for a short-term rental house, or a place to stay for the entire 2 weeks of the performances, please see our rentals for prices and availability.
