Why anyone would volunteer to dive in icy water, walk through fire, get electrocuted and crawl through cold mud is a mystery to us. But that is what Tough Mudder is all about. And thousands of people subjected themselves to those exact conditions at Mount Snow for the 2011 Tough Mudder event. And they didn't even get paid to do it.
Tough Mudder is essentially an obstacle course. A REALLY tough obstacle course. It is 9 miles long and was designed by former British Special Forces officers. The fastest competitors took over 3 hours to finish after crawling through culverts in frigid water, climbing across monkey bars to avoid more cold water, hiking miles and miles of wooded trails, and attempting to dodge a 10,000-volt electrically-charged gauntlet (most were not successful in dodging it).
Of the 14,000 Tough Mudder participants, Chimney Hill Real Estate was proud to sponsor a team of eight. As you can see by the photos below, it was no easy task to finish, but finish they did. We're proud of you, guys and gals!
